Client Testimonials

  • Matt Gilsenan, Stud Manager of Norelands Stud

We received yearlings off Heritage Thoroughbreds to consign at the Orby Sale and they slotted in very well with the yearlings we prepared ourselves, they were like peas in a pod. The yearlings were prepared to an excellent standard which enabled us to show them off and maximise their purchase price

  • Anthony Mithen, Stud Principal of Rosemont Stud

I must say I feel lucky to have stumbled across Heritage Thoroughbreds. A business operating out of the most divine farm and facilities, run by two hard working brothers with a destiny for success. I was blown away by a recent visit to see our 6 mares in residence there. Their attention to detail is extremely good and this was showcased when all 6 of my mares got in foal on their first covers.

  • Raphael Freire, Amo Racing Trainer

I was extremely happy to see two of my horses look so well on a recent visit to Heritage Thoroughbreds. Their attention to detail, communication and commitment to ensuring the highest standards possible is second to none. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone and will definitely be using their services for the foreseeable future.

  • Emily Scott, Director of Racing - Highclere Thoroughbred Racing

We used Heritage Thoroughbreds to summer three of our jumpers this year and we were thrilled with how the horses did for their three months out. Tom & Charlie were extremely accomodating, allowing us to pop in to see the horses at our convenience and they put on a lovely open morning for the Highclere Owners as well. The trainers, Dan Skelton and Harry Derham, were equally delighted with the condition of the horses and so we will definitely be using Heritage Thoroughbreds again.

  • Roberto Di Paolo, Trainer and Breeder

Thank you for the professionalism of your work. Without a doubt, next time we come to England, we’ll come to you.

  • James Fleming, Awbeg Stud

Tom and Charlie did a great job looking after our mare and foal that boarded with them. They came back looking a million dollars. The lads were great to deal with and kept us informed every step of the way.

  • David Foy, Owner & Breeder

My mare is looked after like royalty at Heritage Thoroughbreds.

Our Location

Manton needs little introduction to those familiar with racing and Manton Park Stud is now home to Heritage Thoroughbreds. Situated a couple of miles north of Marlborough; a short journey from the racing yards of Lambourn and with many of the most popular stallion stations within easy reach.

Mature hedgerows and towering old oak trees beautifully complement the state-of-the-art facilities which include two horse walkers, a lunge ring and a menage. As well as larger than average stabling, post and rail paddocks with boarded corners, daily nursery paddocks as well as larger turn out facilities. Ideal for resting and rehab as well as broodmare, yearling and foal management.

The topography of the limestone and chalk hills as well as the manicured paddocks of the Stud combine to provide an environment that allows horses to thrive. To help each horse which lives here grow strong and fulfil their dreams of racing on the biggest stages in the world. Each horse enjoys ample space to gallop and play with their paddock companions, one of the benefits of rearing your young thoroughbred athletes at Heritage.

The pasture is rotated with the Aberdeen Angus cattle that also call Manton their home; every blade of grass is cared for and the forage used is organic from Manton Estate. Our priority is the safety and well-being of all horses which have been entrusted in our care. The trust placed in us by our Clients is a privilege and something we do not view lightly. You will receive regular updates, weekly feedback, and photos of your horses throughout the season. In addition, we also encourage and welcome stud visits.
